Matthew 15:15-20

15 But Peter said to him, (A)“Explain the parable to us.” 16 And he said, (B)“Are you also still without understanding? 17 Do you not see that (C)whatever goes into the mouth passes into the stomach and is expelled?[a] 18 But (D)what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person. 19 For out of the heart come (E)evil thoughts, (F)murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, (G)slander. 20 (H)These are what defile a person. But (I)to eat with unwashed hands does not defile anyone.”

5 When the disciples reached the other side, they had forgotten to bring any bread. 6 Jesus said to them, “Watch and (A)beware of (B)the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” 7 And they began discussing it among themselves, saying, “We brought no bread.” 8 But (C)Jesus, aware of this, said, (D)“O you of little faith, why are you discussing among yourselves the fact that you have no bread? 9 (E)Do you not yet perceive? Do you not remember (F)the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many baskets you gathered?
